I had an amazing ride this past weekend. My super coach, Michael Engleman, came over to Durango and followed me on a great day of climbing from Durango to the top of Red Mountain pass (65 miles away over 3 mountain passes and to an altitude of 12,000 ft three times). It was so nice to have the support car with warm clothes and an endless supply of water and food. I climbed to my hearts content! To top it off, I had a little tail wind the whole day and I never had to turn around and ride home in the wind…..I got to ride in the car!!! While this isn’t the ideal way to get tougher or work on riding in the wind, it was a great workout mentally! It felt fast! Sorry no pics. Next stop Tour de Gila!
